Jafferabad Cut Off for 23 Days
JAFFERABAD: Most parts of Jafferabad city in Balochistan, left flooded after deluge wreaked devastation there, have remained disconnected with other parts of country for 23 consecutive days.
Meanwhile, many other parts have worn look of lake due to stagnant floodwater with water 9 to 12 feet dept still staying around residential areas, multiplying the sufferings of people who are in a bid of rehabilitate themselves.
Tens of thousands of ill-fated people, stranded in those areas, have met difficulties to manage food and medicine, which resulted in fast spread of cholera and other skin diseases.
Over 60 people have so far died of epidemics in flood-ravaged parts of Balochistan, sources said.
